LION KING!!!

Last Wednesday!

The fateful day. We finally saw it!!! AHHHHH!!! And it was amazing!!

So...I just realized that THIS was the day we got cheap pizza...oh well. :D We ate lunch and walked to the theater, which is massive, by the way. When we bought our tickets, we couldn't see where they were, we just knew they were on the first balcony on the side. I worried a little, but I shouldn't have. They were spectacular!

RIGHT? RIGHT?! So good!!

This is our excitement. So excited. Much excited. Wow.

The opener, the Circle of Life was incredible. The animals came through the audience, including a huge elephant that was spectacular! My favorites were the giraffes, because they were people with stilts on their hands and feet. SO COOL. I also loved after the intermission (after Mufasa's death D': ) they had actors from balconies and the floor fly colorful birds in string so they filled the whole theater. It was amazing. Honestly, I had full-body chills for most of the show. Here's a video:

OOOOO I just got chills again. :D Our Rafiki was even better than this one (this is the Broadway cast). She was seriously so amazing. And I absolutely love that they incorporate the He Lives in You song from the second movie. The costuming was incredible too. The way that Mufasa's and Scar's masks came down was SO COOL. Young Simba, and therefore Can't Wait to be King, was a little disappointing, but the rest was amazing. It was definitely worth the ticket.

Also I can't believe this first premiered in 1997....sheesh! So old!

So naturally that night we watched Lion King 1 1/2. I love that movie. It's so hilarious! :D Steam home, dream home!
