The 39 Steps

Last Tuesday!

After class we went and BOUGHT LION KING TICKETS!!! :D :D :D Am I going to tell you how much they cost? No, no I am not. It was kind of a thrill though spending that much money on one thing though. We also looked for lunch around Leister Square (because we bought tickets from a booth) and randomly found this Italian restaurant that had pizza for 50% off. So basically we each got half of an 11" pizza for 2.50. It was amazing.

Then we ran to Primark to get THIS!

AWESOME, right?! We needed Harry Potter shirts in preparation for our WB studio tour on Friday. EEEEEEEEE!!!!
Then that night we went to see The 39 Steps, and MAN. Was it HILARIOUS! It was so so so incredibly funny, we all almost busted a gut laughing so hard. It was a four person cast, so there was  lot of quick costume changes and gender crossing. It was also a really limited set so they had to be very creative. They had to flap their own clothing when a gust of wind came through the door, move the door and window props on and off set themselves, split the stage between different "shots" or scenes, and so much more.

The "bridge" he escaped off of.

Haha! So every time Hannay looked out the window, these two would rush on stage with the lamp post and then hurry and pose, then run off stage again when he stopped looking. :D

Here's a "window" they were looking out of. Eventually he escapes through here, and he just looks at it, looks at the audience, then turns the frame up and down and steps through it. :D
(obviously these pics are from the website)

It was so great to watch some slapstick and non-serious theater after all these heavy (but wonderful!) tragedies. We were high on life when we came out of that theater. A theater that is right in Piccadilly Circus!

It was a very fun light full of laughing and happiness. Then I came back to the flats and fell sound asleep because, you know, all this excitement and lack of rest gets has to strike sometime.
